The Kelley
Pecan Orchard, located in
Roswell, New Mexico, is
comprised of 10.2 surface
acres upon which there is an
elegant two-story 5,400
square foot colonial
plantation style residence.
The adopted Bel Air design
is from a home built in the
early 1800’s north of New
Orleans. The residence was
constructed in 1992 with
polysteel walls, which
provide strength, stability,

accessed from an elevated

Doric columns. The interior

over 230 mature producing
pecan trees that are in full
production. Income from
production of the commercial
pecans in some years has

orchard is watered by a

system that is efficient and
easy to operated alleviating
time consuming flood
irrigation. The irrigation
water is supplied by one
artesian irrigation well
with a full compliment of
water rights appurtenant to
the 10.2 acres. A domestic
well provides water to the
residence and landscaping.
To support the orchard
operation is a 1,800 square
foot metal frame maintenance
shop that is fully insulated
with a concrete floor. The
structure is easily accessed
by two 12-foot roll up
doors. The shop has both 110
volt and 220 volt
electricity with electric
overhead lights.
This
property is unique to the
area and is one of the few
rural residential properties
that has income producing
capability. Seller indicates
that income from the
commercial pecans provide
enough income to pay for the
property insurance, and all
